Saturdays are for playing!

Yesterday was a gorgeous day and we all decided to take advantage of that. I had a wonderful brunch with some of the best girls around at Chez Zee for Baby Lincoln(yum!) We took Bowen to the park to soak up some sunshine. He hasn't seen much of that since he has been born. Then we went and ran errands followed by yummy dinner, and then I got to play shuffleboard:)! I forgot how much I love it, and may I mention that I was the points leader?! I only made it into the Pacific Ocean/Chinatown 90% of the time, haha:) It was a spectacular day. Justin & I agree that we don't get enough time together as it is, so it was nice for all three of us to be together for the whole day. Here are some pics that captured our day.

I have to say, the surprise party was a success! Justin was truly surprised, and it was great to see how appreciative he is of all his family and friends. He was really down in the dumps thinking no one cared about him. Salt Lick is so yummy too, I wish we would have eaten more.
We had a great time at the wineries too! The weather could not have been better. And we had a great burger at Hondo's, home of the donut burger. Happy Valentines babe. This holiday always gets passed over in our family. But I don't love you anymore on this day than any other.
Today we watched the Daytona 500 which lasted WAY too long! I think coverage was about 10 hours today, no exaggeration. We just had a few friends over and lots of yummy snacks. Bowen's first Daytona, it was very special for Daddy. And Dale Jr got 2nd! Its not first, but he will take it. Onto Fontana next week.
Bowen had a great day at Aunt Laura's yesterday. He got to ride the tractor. He probably had just as much fun as we did!
Monday starts a new week and officially marks a new decade in Justin's life. The big 3-0. Happy birthday my love! You deserve everything you get!

You say its your birthday

Monday is Justin's 30th birthday. That definitely reminds me of the past ten years we have been together. On his 20th birthday he made us his specialty deep fried burritos with ketchup(I know it sounds gross) and we played UNO at UMHB. Now 10 years, one pant size(smaller), two houses, a baby, and less hair later, he is here getting so excited for the 52nd running of the Daytona 500. And in Spencer tradition we are going to have people over to watch it and celebrate his birthday. He says all he wants for his birthday is for Dale Jr to WIN!!!! :)

Bowen is changing every day! This week he is cracking us up with his motor boat sounds. He has figured out how to grab the toys on his carseat and he loves to cuddle with his blanket. Or put it in his mouth, of course. Here are some pics from this week.




I am doing really great! I am ready to have Justin's birthday over with, mostly because I always take it upon myself to make it so special. But I know he appreciates it. :) This past weekend I had my first overnight away from Bowen at a bachelorette party. I had a great time, but I missed my boys so much! This weekend for our second date out Justin and I are going with some good friends to Fredricksburg to some wineries, and then to stuff our face at Salt Lick. YUM! I am looking forward to it for sure!
